Kennedy Space Center-a "must see" location in Central Florida

When you mention the words "Orlando vacation" to most people they think of Disney World and other theme parks in Central Florida. The imagination and creative effort that were put in parks is incredible and has attracted visitors from all over the world. However, the reality sometimes is just as exciting as imagination and nowhere is this more evident than at the Kennedy Space Center.

If you are visiting Orlando, then you should certainly put aside some time to visit the Space Center. Let me introduce some of the attractions that have made the Kennedy Space Center a great success with visitors in Florida.

Expeditions to the Moon in the 1970s are a landmark for humanity and you can get a first hand view of the technology that made possible these flights to Saturn 5. Here you can watch a rocket bottom scale that measures more than 360 meters tall and weighs in at 6.2 million pounds. You can not only get a look at rocket mammoth but also take a simulated trip to the Moon and get up close with a detailed statement.

You can also go further in the history of space travel in the early history section of the space center space. The first Mercury and Gemini space capsules are on display together with the control panel that mission controllers used to guide the first space flights.

Almost everyone is fascinated by the close of the Earth, the red planet Mars and a section devoted to the 1976 Viking landings, let's take a trip to Mars in a simulated visit that traces the route taken by the Viking probes without crew. You can also touch a piece of Mars, because a meteor that originated from Mars is also on display.

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be an astronaut on a shuttle flight? If so, then make sure you visit the Shuttle Launch Simulator. The whole room vibrates as a Shuttle takes off and when it "reaches orbit" you will get a view of astronauts on Earth.

Speaking of astronauts, you can meet an astronaut in space. Throughout the year astronauts from mercury, Gemini, Apollo and the Shuttle era they meet with visitors.

During the 50 years of age space our astronauts and spacecraft took the dramatic footage of outer space. You can see the best shots so spectacular IMAX 3D theatre and really get an idea of what it's like an astronaut.

There is much to see at Kennedy Space Center and the best way to make sure you see that everything is to take a guided tour of the facility on a bus that stops at all the main facilities of the Centre. The first bus leads to 9:30 and there are continuous throughout the day.
As you leave the Centre that you can pick up a souvenir at the space shop. You can choose from over 8000 items of memorabilia.

This is just a sample of what you can expect at the Centre of the space, so be sure to visit this fun and educational attraction during your stay in Central Florida.
