Exploration of space is defined as the use of astronomy and space technology to explore outer space. Space exploration took of human space flight and robotic space craft.
Observations of objects in space, which is known as astronomy, is one of the oldest known scientific studies, prior history documented accountable. Rocket boosters developed at the beginning of the 20th century has allowed space exploration to expand and become a reality. Space exploration often creates political competition, pushing the country to respond faster in an attempt to get the exploration first, as the "space race" between the Soviet Union and the United States.
Space exploration has moved from singular flights to reusable hardware that allows greater exploration. Private interest began in the exploration of space, creating the desire more competition and greater government missions.
The first launch orbito was made in 1957. Soviet unmanned Sputnik launch named, it orbits the Earth at about 150 miles. After success the United States, the Soviet launched unsuccessful Vangaurd 1 two months later. In 1958 the Unites States successfully launched and orbited Explorer 1.
In 1961 the first human space flight took place on the Vostok 1, bringing a man of 27 years. Space flight completed an orbit around the globe in about two hours. This triumph urged the world to continue the exploration of space. The United States has followed the footsteps of the Soviet Union within six months. The flight of mercury orbited the Earth six times on February 20, 1962. In 1963, the first woman orbiting the Earth 48 times aboard Vostok 6.
One of the main objectives of space exploration is Astrobiology, which is the focus of the study of life in the universe. Astrobiology is focused mainly on the origin and evolution of life. And is often referred to as astrobiology. Astrobiologists consider life that is completely different from any other life discovered in the past.
